Smart Giving

Elevate Your Impact through Smart Giving

For many of our supporters, generosity is not only about giving—it’s about giving wisely.

At Spruce Peak Arts, we are fortunate to be supported by individuals who care deeply about both the arts and the community we serve.

Many are surprised to discover that one of the most effective ways to give is also one of the simplest: donating appreciated stock. When structured thoughtfully, this approach can significantly enhance the value of your contribution—without increasing your personal expenditure.

When appreciated assets are sold, a portion of their value is often lost to capital gains tax before a gift is ever made. By contrast, transferring those assets directly allows their full value to be put to work in support of the arts.

Traditional Approach

An appreciated investment valued at $1,000 is sold, taxes are applied, and approximately $670 remains available for charitable giving.

A More Considered Approach

That same investment, transferred directly, allows the full $1,000 to support Spruce Peak Arts.

A More Intentional Way To Give — Without Giving More.
