The Spruce Peal Arts Local Heroes Initiative
Homegrown In Vermont Initiative
The Heart of Our Mission
The Spruce Peak Arts Local Heroes Initiative honors not only first responders, teachers, nurses, and veterans, but also the many unsung individuals who keep our community running every day—single parents, plow drivers, lift technicians, retail and service professionals, and so many others. At its heart, this program is about access and appreciation. We believe everyone who contributes to the strength and spirit of our community deserves the opportunity to experience the world-class artists who grace our stage.
At Spruce Peak Arts, we believe in more than presenting exceptional performances—we are committed to nurturing the next generation of creators, technicians, and leaders in the arts. Through our Homegrown in Vermont initiative, your generosity helps elevate and sustain the remarkable talent within our own community, providing meaningful opportunities for growth, connection, and success. With your support, we are able to provide:
Education, mentorship, professional development, and real-world paid opportunities for emerging artists—often serving as the encouragement they need to continue their creative path with confidence.
Hands-on training for local students in professional audio and lighting production, opening doors to future careers in the performing arts.
Help ensure the arts are here when they’re needed most by supporting the people and programs that make connection possible.
Your support gives Spruce Peak Arts the flexibility to respond in real time—whether that means welcoming new artistic voices, embracing unexpected opportunities, or meeting critical needs behind the scenes. Above all, your generosity ensures that the performing arts remain a source of joy, reflection, and belonging for our community—especially when it matters most.
