EQUITY & INCLUSION

Our Values

Spruce Peak Arts is dedicated to fostering a culture that celebrates diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in all aspects of our work. We believe that the arts are a powerful vehicle for social change, and we are committed to creating an environment where everyone feels welcomed, respected, and valued. Spruce Peak Arts demonstrates its commitment through the following actions:

Diverse Representation

SPA is committed to promoting diversity in our workforce, leadership, and board of directors, ensuring that our team reflects the diversity of the communities we serve.

We will implement equitable hiring, compensation, and advancement practices, striving to eliminate biases that may affect decisions.

We will create an inclusive environment by providing training, resources, and support to foster a culture of respect and inclusion.

We are committed to using inclusive recruitment practices that attract a diverse pool of candidates. We will actively seek to remove barriers to employment for underrepresented groups.

We will provide opportunities for professional development and mentorship to ensure equitable advancement within the organization.

All staff and volunteers will receive DEI training to increase awareness, address unconscious bias, and promote an inclusive workplace culture.

SPA will curate and present a wide range of artistic works that reflect diverse perspectives, voices, and stories, ensuring that our programming is representative of the community we serve.

We are committed to making our programs and facilities accessible to all, including providing accommodations for individuals with disabilities and endeavoring that cost shall not be a barrier to participation.

We will actively engage with diverse communities to understand their needs and to ensure that our programs are relevant and accessible to all.
